As we continue our efforts to better serve our clients, we welcome Karen Dickerson, RN-BSN, JD as the newest member of our team.
Karen is a licensed Registered Nurse with over 28 years of clinical experience and extensive training in the Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Labor and Delivery Nursing. She has worked in a variety of positions throughout her career including Clinical Coordinator of a Gynecology Clinic and Hospital Nurse Supervisor for a large Trauma 1 Teaching Hospital.
After working as a Legal Nurse Consultant at a Charleston, South Carolina law firm, Karen decided to complement her nursing degree with a degree in the law. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2007. Her legal education enhances her nursing expertise and gives her a unique ability to analyze complex medical-legal issues. Karen will be assisting our attorneys in all areas of the firm’s practice, but she has a special interest in obstetrical cases involving problems such as pre-eclampsia, cerebral palsy, birth injuries, birth hypoxia, and neonatal encephalopathy. We are confident Karen’s knowledge and medical expertise will be of great benefit to the clients we serve.
